Case Study - Databases

Over the last 20 years we have developed databases & data-driven websites using a number of different platforms, including Microsoft Access MS SQL Server, and MySQL.

The applications included (but weren't limited to!)…

•	An Order Processing and Job Management system in MS Access for a Water Treatment company based in Sussex.
•	A Customer Management system for a medical company in Brighton.
•	An International Settlements & Billing system for AT&T.
•	A Personnel system for the Interim Administration of Afghanistan - in SQL Server with an Access front-end.
•	Customisation of MySQL driven eCommerce and other Web applications.

Many of the projects we have completed for Customers have included data manipulation - not necessarily building the database for them , but rather cleansing and/or migrating data from an old system to a new system.

In terms of data throughput, the Medical company database was the smallest - with just a few hundred records a year; the largest was the AT&T Settlements system, which automatically processed hundreds of thousand records per day.
